Gordon Butler
Gordon Butler is pleased to join Heffel as Director of Art Handling and Storage Facilities, leading Heffel’s art handling, storage and shipping departments. With 30 years of extensive involvement in the Canadian art industry, Gordon brings decades of art handling experience from his time working with one of Canada’s foremost fine art shipping and installation firms. Since Gordon’s very first role as a registrar for The McMichael Canadian Art Collection in 1989, his goal has been to exceed the expectations of his team and clients and provide excellent service.
Over the years, Gordon has also enjoyed volunteering his time with various facets of Toronto's art community. He has been a board member for the Doris McCarthy Gallery, a guest lecturer at University of Toronto’s Museum Studies program, and a steering committee member of Casey House's Art with Heart Auction and CAMH's UnMasked Art Auction.
Gordon is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and also studied at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and MassArt in Boston.
Gordon is looking forward to continuing his involvement with Canada's art community as part of the Heffel team.
