Private Collection, Nova Scotia


The first of cylindrical form and raised on three short monster-headed feet, with enameled design of three confronting green peacocks amongst a ground of scrolling vine and lotus balls, the cover similarly decorated, and the sides inlaid with turquoise and coral; the smaller jar with alternating horizontal bands of filigree silver with coin diaper and floral design and inlaid semi precious hardstone, and fitted with two pale green jadeite bangles. Both marked silver to base.
