Ken Wallace studied at the Alberta College of Art and received a scholarship to attend the Banff School of Fine Arts. In 1973, he graduated with honors in animation and painting from the Vancouver School of Art, now known as Emily Carr University of Art + Design. He taught at his alma mater for almost 30 years and also instructed painting and drawing at the University of British Columbia. In 2010, he became a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Painting. In 2018, he was honored with the title of Professor Emeritus at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. His works are held in esteemed private and public collections, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada Council Art Bank, CBC, National Gallery of Canada, and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
