By descent to the Estate of Catherine Hooper (1926 - 2023), Ottawa
The two-tiered inro carved in the round with a scene of the house deity Daikoku and his magic hammer, a young boy playing with his moustache, with mother-of-pearl and lacquer inlays throughout, the reverse with an inlaid signature. With an ojime carved with a rat, and a netsuke depicting a Chinese boy holding a hand drum.
