The recumbent beast in two tones realistically rendered with the head nobly turned towards the right. Base with signature and seal of the artist. Large elmwood stand.

Albert Earnest Newberry was the owner of Newberry Antiques, a popular antique store on Fort Street in Victoria from the 1940s to the late 1960s.
