Acquired in San Francisco by the Collection of Stephen Poulin, Toronto, 1998
The finial finely carved and pierced in openwork with a coiling dragon amongst flowering peony scrolls and ruyi clouds. The head of the beast resting at the top of the design. With four pairs of pierced apertures for attachment on the underside. The stone of a pale celadon tone with some russet inclusions.
