A painting bearing the title After the Fight appears as #30 in a catalogue of paintings by Thomas Mower Martin offered for sale by the auctioneer I.B. Tackaberry, 29 Sparks Street, Ottawa on April 3, 1886. Given the subject matter, the title seems very appropriate.
