Please note this work is framed in an ornate-style frame, painted white by the artist after it was installed onto the painting. Late in his career, Smith experimented with new framing options for his artwork. The work was framed under Smith's supervision, while the surface of the painting was also likely still tactile. Thus re-framing the work may be challenging and will require additional care and caution.
