1) HBC Quilt Challenge Quilt and Banner, 2005 (2 items) (#2729)

HBC Heritage Services and the Victoria Quilters’ Guild hosted the Victoria Quilt Challenge in 2005, inviting local quilters to create a unique quilt inspired by HBC, Canadian or British Columbia history. The resulting exhibit travelled to several Bay stores and heritage institutions in British Columbia, and this quilt was voted the "People's Choice."

2) HBC Quilt Challenge Quilt, 2006 (#1797)

Quilt design replicates an HBC advertisement targeting miners and prospectors. Created by Sally Unrau as part of the 2006 HBC Quilt Challenge.

The auction preview will be held at Heffel Toronto March 16, 17 and 18 by appointment only.

The Buyer’s Premium is the amount paid by the Buyer to the Auction House on the purchase of a lot, which is calculated on the Hammer Price as follows: a rate of 25% of the Hammer Price of the Lot up to and including $25,000; plus 20% on the part of the Hammer Price over $25,000, plus applicable Sales Tax.

The Buyer is responsible for all pickup and shipping costs and arrangements. All lots will be sold “as is, where is” and will be deemed as released in Ontario and HST will be applied.
