Ink on red paper, mounted as a hanging scroll. Signed Weng Tonghe, with two artist’s seals and a collector’s seal of Yang Jing’an (1887-1967). The titleslip of Liang Dingfen (1859-1919), bearing a collector’s seal of Yang.

杨敬安 (1887-1967)，字子远，广东南海人。父杨启焯为末代帝师梁鼎芬 (1859-1919) 同年，十七岁投梁氏门下，为其晚年最得意门生，与其子梁思孝 (1892-1981) 交谊尤笃。梁氏身后，杨敬安长期致力收集整理恩师遗著，编成《节庵先生遗稿》等。杨氏所藏多有得自师门者，在粤期间又与广州十三行潘氏过从甚密，所藏书画多见有潘宝珩 (1862-1927) 、潘恩凯 (1912-1973) 等几代潘氏鉴藏印。战后，杨敬安举家移居澳门。

梁鼎芬 (1859-1919)，字星海，号节庵，广东番禺人。清末进士，授翰林院编修，辛亥后为溥仪帝师。为清末民初著名学者与藏书家。

潘宝珩 (1862-1927) ，号佩如，广州十三行潘正炜 (1791-1850) 之孙，光绪八年举人，承“听帆楼”余续，精鉴赏，富收藏。其子潘恩恺 (1912-1973) 留学牛津大学，归港后成为首任华人法官，亦嗜收藏。

翁同龢 (1830-1904)，字叔平，号松禅，江苏常熟人。咸丰六年状元，两代帝师，历任户部尚书、军机大臣，被誉“同光间书法第一”。此作以朱红箋纸书“寿”字，取吉庆祥瑞之意，笔墨酣畅，力透纸背，结体宽博而气韵贯通，是典型的“松禅体”代表之作。
