Coppel writes, "Andrews records two states in Print Book 3, 1946 - 1970: 1st state numbered 1/60 to 10/60 appears to have been printed in alizarin purple for the 3rd block; 2nd state numbered 1/60 to 20/60, 25/60 to 28/60, printed in black for the 3rd block." This work is state II, and is a fine early impression with strong, bold colours.
