Majoring in both Art History and History, Kate completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2002. Graduating in 2007 from York University, Kate received her Masters in Art History, with a focus on Contemporary Canadian Art. In addition, Kate also completed her Graduate diploma in Curatorial Studies from York University.
Kate gained experience as a curatorial intern at the Art Gallery of Ontario, doing research for the 2005 Andy Warhol Supernova: Stars, Deaths and Disasters, 1962 - 1964 exhibition and the 2007 Emily Carr: New Perspectives on a Canadian Icon exhibition. In 2004 Kate began working with Heffel in the Toronto office, where she was responsible for digital imaging and gallery administration.
Kate moved to Vancouver office in 2007, where she is now the Director of Appraisal Services. With expertise in Canadian art, as well as a broad knowledge of American and European artwork, Kate has experience appraising Private Collections, artwork in Public Institutions, Estates and Large Corporate Collections.
