Daphne Odjig is one of the most influential First Nations Canadian artists. She was co-founder of the Professional Native Indian Artists Association, known as the Indian Group of Seven, along with Alex Janvier and Norval Morrisseau.
From October 23, 2009 to January 3, 2010, the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa will present “The Drawings and Paintings of Daphne Odjig: A Retrospective Exhibition”, showcasing her works from over 44 years.
