Ink and colour on paper, mounted as a hand scroll. Signed Xiaocang Xu Xiang, with an inscription, two artist’s seals, a collector seal of Fang Rongyi (19th Century), and a seal of Sun Yuwen (19th Century). The scroll with a colophon by Di Xuegeng (1820 - 1899), dated to the thirtieth year of Guangxu, and a colophon by Wang Shiyuan (1877 - 1935), dated 1917, each with two collectors’ seals.

款识：蠕动翾飞自一天，眼中风露发清寒。笔端正有坡仙趣，莫作宣和艺本看。东坡墨戏出新意，八咏复见河阳刘。梦到草堂风露冷，碧花篱落候虫秋。宣和遗墨画难工，唯有王孙笔意同。莫问吴宫与梁苑，一般草露复秋生。雌蝶雄蜂各快心，逐香窥艳竞相寻。 南园雨过红芳歇，输与鸣蜩占绿阴。谁道争花群队里，长吟还有独清人。小仓徐祥绘。

注：方溶颐 (1815-1889)，字子箴，安徽定远人，道光二十四年进士，官至四川按察使。为晚清学者、书画藏家。
孙毓汶 (1833 - 1899)，字莱山，号迟盦，山东济宁人，清末官员。
狄学耕，字曼农，号叔子，江苏溧阳人。清嘉庆二十五年生，官江西知县。好藏字画，王蒙《青卞隐居图》曾为其藏。
汪士元，字向叔，盱眙人。光绪三十年进士，精于书画鉴藏。因藏宋徽宗《晴麓横云图》故取斋号麓云楼，其部分所藏宋元明清书画现藏上海博物馆及故宫博物院。
